Edrin was part of an agile team composed of 5 members and was involved in the
development of the following features in the product
• Developing a new RBAC access control system in order to enhance the
security and flexibility of both UI and APIs used by the customers.
• backend and frontend GeoIP solution in order to enable localization
services on different API calls.
• flexible image support functionality. Mongo DB was used in order to
store the image streams and MySQL to store the other information. Functionality
exposed through a rest API.
• a complex Analytics/Reports Framework using Spring AOP, Mongo,
MySQL and Hibernate. Jobs were designed to aggregate the data per
hour/day/week/month from both databases. The solution included the design of
REST API calls to access data and complex UI using DataTables, HighCharts and
Jquery to present the reports.
The team did a complete redesign of the existing Role Based Access Control
System of the product. The initial version had hard coded roles which made it
difficult for our merchants to delegate
permissions and roles to other users. A
major refactoring of the MySQL schema was needed which lead to a major
refactoring of AAS’s core parts.
